Lack of communication habits have resulted in many failed marriages and relationship knowing fully well that there is a thin line between love and hate. So as adults let's not allow negative emotions ruin our happiness.
A friend once told me how she almost got divorced because of lack of communication, she got married to her husband in her twenties and became pregnant almost immediately, when the were dating the husband told her he wanted just two kids, but she in her mind actually wanted four kids. She casually told the husband but she didn't seem serious about it.
After the first kid, then came the second one ,the hubby was so excited that Aggh!!! At least we are done having kids, but that wasn't the case for her.so when she started clamoring for the third the hubby wasn't finding it funny . He even threatened divorce because before he knew it the lady took in for the third child . It took alot of intervention from family and close friends to get them back on track.
What prevented her from opening up on what she wanted was the question every one kept asking .COMMUNICATION.
Let's note that yelling and nagging is not a good way to communicate, when one is angry, yelling and nagging comes into play. At this point note that your voice is raised and yelling unleashes lots of negative and strong emotions. It actually feels free to let it out but the excitement is short lived and believe me it create tension and regrets later.
In a recent survey carried out 99.9% of marriages which has sustained a test of time is due to strong communication skills between the couples. So let's communicate better enjoy our marriages and relationships . Happiness eliminates all form of sickness caused by anger and hate.
“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”
